Hey there!

I’m Rebecca McDonald, an interior designer based on Wellington’s Kapiti Coast.

Plump the pillows is an interior design service  helping homeowners with colour, creativity and excellent space planning solutions.  I know that everyone’s needs and budgets are different and sometimes approaching a designer for advice can be a bit overwhelming. 

I want to make it easier for you to improve your home, and be able to do this at your own pace and within your budget. 

With a few easy steps, I find out what your space needs, and give you the design and direction to transform it. 

I will explore with you what your space needs and develop a design concept that is uniquely yours with guidance on how to achieve the look. I am known for colour and creativity and excellent space planning solutions for clients. I excel at tying your home together with cohesive design. I notice elements in your home that I bring together in a harmonious way, from your favourite colour on your front door, to the pattern of a loved lamp.

With a Diploma in Interior Design & certification in 3D modeling, I have the credentials and most importantly the creativity to help fix your space! I also currently contract as a Colour Expert for Resene.

If you are on the Kapiti Coast, we are available for in-person colour consultations and interior design advice and concepts. If you are anywhere else - yay, we can still help with our virtual design service.
